“Drawing inspiration from the elaborate ingenuity of the Bowerbird species while enacting a ritualistic observance, reminiscent in Japanese tea ceremonies and pagan gatherings such as the Celtic May Festival of Beltane, the performance “Ritual in Pairing” will be accompanied by an original sound collage and an allegorical culmination. Through this environmentally-driven ceremony, the artist asks audiences to consider again the unabashed beauty of nature, its plants and animals, and rediscover these primal elements within ourselves. The performance piece is both an invitation and a reminder of what is possible when we reconnect collectively with the natural world in our quest for mystical truths and identity.” Coco Dolle - Curator
